Italy temporarily blocks ChatGPT, here's why

https://ift.tt/pcnA7Zb Italy has temporarily blocked the OpenAI ChatGPT artificial intelligence (AI) software and is investigating a possible violation of European Union (EU) data protection rules. Italy’s Data Protection Authority has limited the processing of Italian users’ data by the company, pending greater privacy protections. OpenAI must report within 20 days what actions it has taken to protect users’ data or face penalties. The watchdog alleges that OpenAI made a “massive collection and processing” of personal data without substantial legal grounds and produced “absolutely inappropriate” content for children users.
