Apple is inviting researchers to find security flaws in a ‘special’ iPhone

https://ift.tt/6iN7YEK Apple has launched its iPhone Security Research Device Program (SRDP), inviting security researchers to apply. The program is a part of Apple's bug bounty initiative and offers cash rewards for discovering security flaws in iPhones. Researchers selected for the program will receive a specially-built iPhone 14 Pro variant designed exclusively for security research. The devices allow researchers to configure or disable advanced security protections and run arbitrary code. So far, SRDP researchers have discovered 130 security vulnerabilities. The application process is open until October 31, 2023, with selected participants notified in early 2024.
