Ericsson to set up 6G research and development centre in Chennai

https://ift.tt/iTObx4n Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson has opened a 6G research and development center in Chennai, India. The company plans to collaborate with engineering institutes in India for 6G research. Ericsson currently has three R&D centers in India and spends $4-5 billion annually on R&D. The move comes as Ericsson's net sales in India grew over 3.5 times in Q3 2023. Ericsson's rival Nokia also recently announced the establishment of a 6G lab in Bangalore.
